The Department of computer Engineering of Vidya Pratishthan’s Polytechnic was established in the year 2008, and has grown over the years into a competent department with state of the art computing facilities, and dedicated faculty. The goal of the department is to establish state of the art computing environment to develop competent computer engineers with the spirit of professionalism and responsible citizenship. Highly qualified, dedicated faculty and good infra-structure facilities, make this dream to come in reality.
Goal and Mission of Computer Engineering Department:
The mission of the Computer Engineering Department is multifold:
1) to provide the highest level of quality education to students – to provide the student with the necessary educational skills and a fundamental comprehension of the societal demands, so that he/she may enter and grow in a professional career.
2) to sustain and continually augment an atmosphere conducive for research and scholarly development, not only to produce high quality research and the associated knowledge and technology transfer, but also to attract and retain highly qualified students and faculty into the program.
PURPOSE AND GOALS
The primary purpose of the Computer Engineering Program is to prepare students for a successful professional career in computer engineering. The curriculum is structured to provide each student with a sound background in software language, hardware devices, networking, and a thorough foundation in computer engineering for the analysis and design of computer and digital systems.
